Learn and Earn -small story

Chuan and Jing joined a wholesale company together just after
graduation. Both worked very hard.

After several years, the boss promoted Jing to sales executive but
Chuan remained a sales rep. One day Chuan could not take it anymore,
tender resignation to the boss and complained the boss did not value
hard working staff, but only promoted those who flattered him.

The boss knew that Chuan worked very hard for the years, but in order
to help Chuan realise the difference between him and Jing, the boss
asked Chuan to do the following. Go and find out anyone selling water
melon in the market? Chuan returned and said yes. The boss asked how
much per kg? Chuan went back to the market to ask and returned to
inform boss the $12 per kg.

Boss told Chuan, I will ask Jing the same question? Jing went, returned
and said, boss, only one person selling water melon. $12 per kg, $100
for 10 kg, he has inventory of 340 melons. On the table 58 melons,
every melon weighs about 15 kg, bought from the South two days ago,
they are fresh and red, good quality.

Chuan was very impressed and realised the difference between himself
and Jing. He decided not to resign but to learn from Jing.

My dear friends, a more successful person is more observant, think more
and understand in depth. For the same matter, a more successful person
sees several years ahead, while you see only tomorrow. The difference
between a year and a day is 365 times, how could you win?

Think! how far have you seen ahead in your life? How thoughtful in
depth are you?

Think Positive

Why we Need Friends?

One Paragraph that explains "LIFE"

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.

From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

The world over -- 5 crore children start playing tennis, 50 lakh learn to play tennis, 5 lakh learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD
"Why me?". And today in pain I should not be asking GOD"Why me?"

Wht do u think who's correct n how ...

wht do u think who's correct n how ... is there any solution to this problem????

Few centuries ago, a Law teacher came across a student who was willing to learn but as unable to pay the fees. The student struck a deal saying, "I will pay your fee the day I win my first case in the court". Teacher agreed and proceeded with the law course.

When the course was finished and teacher started pestering the student to pay up the fee,the student reminded him of the deal and pushed days. Fed up with this, the teacher decided to sue the student in the court of law and both of them decided to argue for themselves.

The teacher put forward his argument saying: "If I win this case, as per the court of law, the student has to pay me as the case is about his non-payment of dues. And if I lose the case, student will still pay me because he would have won his first case. So either way I will have to get the money". Equally brilliant student argued back saying: "If I win the case, as per the court of law, I don't have to pay anything to the teacher as the case is about my non-payment of dues. And if I lose the case, I don't have to pay him because I haven't won my first case yet. So either way, I am not going to pay the teacher anything". This is one of the greatest paradoxes ever recorded in history

A Finance lesson by Mr.Sridhar Allani

I have been thinking of this for a long time. My
brought geared me for good education and an outlook
and orientation to launch into a career after
education. I had my sights set got an engineering
degree and rode the new liberalization waves to a
rewarding career.

Oh well with career and working life comes something
new that I had no clue of. Money. The only thing that
I knew till then is that dad and mom give money and I
spend. Or they don't give and I am not able to spend.
Only thing that I know is that money will be spent and
you have to work to get that money.

I had no clue how to manage money!!! That money needs
to be saved, that money can earn more money (without
me working :-) ) . That unless I save and reinvest ,
no matter how much I earn, I will never have enough
money for life. That I will never see a lakh if I
don't save on my income in thousands.

With promise of more of my learnings,

Sreedhar

(I hope to continue these lessons for the benefit of
the young members of the family who will be entering
working life in the next few years. I would appreciate
insight from members who have greater experience
managing money and investing.)

Appraisal vs resignation

A newly joined trainee engineer asks his boss "what is the meaning of appraisal?"
Boss: "Do you know the meaning of resignation?"
Trainee: "Yes I do"
Boss: "So let me make you understand what a appraisal is by comparing it with resignation"
Comparison study: Appraisal and Resignation Appraisal Resignation In appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures. In resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past achievements and success. In appraisal you may need to cry and beg for even 10% hike. In resignation you can easily demand (or get even without asking) more than 50-60% hike. During appraisal, they will deny promotion saying you didn't meet the expectation, you don't have leadership qualities, and you had several drawbacks in our objective/goal. During resignation, they will say you are the core member of team; you are the vision of the company how can you go, you have to take the project in shoulder and lead your juniors to success. There is 90% chance for not getting any significant incentives after appraisal. There is 90% chance of getting immediate hike after you put the resignation.
Trainee: "Yes boss enough, now I understood my future."
Good Luck And Good Day

How do we behave with our parents!!

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?"
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT
IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening
a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and
I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I
did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when
today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
So..
If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and
kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.

What is RSVP ?

R.S.V.P. stands for a French phrase, "répondez, s'il vous plaît," which means "please reply."

The person sending the invitation would like you to tell him or her whether you accept or decline the invitation. That is, will you be coming to the event or not? Etiquette rules followed in most Western cultures require that if you receive a formal, written invitation, you should reply promptly, perhaps that same day.

For hosts who are planning a dinner party, a wedding or a reception, this is important from a practical point of view, because they need to know how many people to count on and how much food and drink to buy. More important, though, is the simple courtesy of responding to someone who was nice enough to invite you, even if it is to say that you regret that you will not be able to attend. Many wedding invitations come with a response card that you can mail back right away.

Other written invitations will carry the host's telephone number so you can call with your reply, although under strict etiquette rules, a written invitation requires a written reply. Nowadays, invitations often carry a "regrets only" notation at the end. That means that the host will count on your being there unless you tell him or her otherwise. Some people even use "R.S.V.P." as a verb, as in "Have you R.S.V.P.ed to that invitation?"

You might wonder why we use the initials of a French phrase in an invitation that is written in English. You could say that the French "invented" etiquette, although that would be a simplification because there have always been rules of courtesy to follow in civilization. In fact, an Italian diplomat, Conte Baldassare Castiglione, wrote the first book about proper behavior among nobility in the 16th century. Many of the practices of Western etiquette, however, came from the French court of King Louis XIV in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.

At Versailles, his palace, Louis XIV had the rules for court behavior written on what the French referred to as "tickets," or "étiquette." The tickets either were signs posted at Versailles or were the invitations issued to court events with the rules of behavior printed on the back; experts give different versions of the origin. And French was the language of refinement and high society through the 19th century in the United States. Judith Martin, the author of etiquette books and a syndicated newspaper columnist known as "Miss Manners," thinks that "R.S.V.P." came about as a polite way of reminding people of something that they should already know: If you receive an invitation, you should reply.

Year End's Shayary

India's "Baaaz" ?

Hi all!u might have heard about Katrina's (Hurricane Katrina's from New Orleans)now India also started Naming Cyclones,we call "Baaz" to chennai's recent cyclone.

edi edo bagundani Y.S.Rajeshekar reddy garu A.P lo vache Cyclones ki "Indiramma Esuka tufanu" or "rajeev pedda tufaan" or "Sonia tsunami" lanti perlu pette plan lo unnaru.hey just kidding .

Read some info about Cyclones and it's naming...
*************************************************************************

what is Cyclone :A cyclone is a major storm that rotates around a central eye, and can be enormously destructive.

why we name it?Cyclones are named to provide ease of communication between forecasters and the generalpublic regarding forecasts, watches, and warnings.Naming cyclones can reduce the confusion about what storm is being described.

NAMING CYCLONES:
An Australian meteorologist by the name of Clement Wragge gave names to theseextreme weather events. Wragge thought it would make people more interested in theweather. He began by naming cyclones after political figures whom he disliked.

DIFFERENT NAMES IN DIFFERENT:
PLACESCyclones are only given them name "cyclone" in the Indian and South Pacific Oceans. Inthe western part of the North Pacific Ocean, they are called a "typhoon" - which comesfrom the Chinese word, "taifun", which means "great wind". In the US, they're calledhurricanes, from the West Indian word, "huracan", which means "big wind".

CHANGING NAME:
A cyclone can change its name. If a cyclone starts in the Atlantic Ocean with the name"Karl", and crosses over Mexico into the Pacific Ocean, it could be renamed "Alice". Thefirst cyclone of a season is given a name beginning with A, the second one a namebeginning with B, and so on. If a cyclone causes great destruction, then its name is"retired" from the list of potential names, and never used again.
