The City of Joy-Episode 2

Hi I am back with more words about kolkata.this time my subject is "people".

The weather is Pleasant (with more and more Humidity of course) hot & Sultry in summer, and Cold in winter.

Kolkata (A.K.A Calcutta) is the home of the Bengalis, volatile in politics, sports lover, and intellectual, romantic with a unique sensibility. To whom every activity is a commitment of passionate intensity, be it a religious festival, soccer matches, political demonstrations, music, art, poetry reading, eating or adda (chat sessions).

The Cities Population is Over One Crore (nearly 14 millions), Majority of them Belong to average or below Average of economic standards. Bulk of them is labor class, and most of the remaining is Business persons, and it is said that the Large number of Illegal Immigrants of Bangladeshi’s who belongs to Eastern Bengal,(E.B. was part of India before partition) reside in the City.

In General Kolkata is Very very Busy City and it is said that "the City Never sleeps".
Even though kolkata has wide roads and tall buildings on either sides yet the common site is crowded road with innumerable vehicles of all sorts such as Govt. buses, trams, metro trains, taxi's, autos, Cycle Rickshaw’s and Hand Pulling Rickshaw’s (Man Pulling).

This congested city with an explosive population has in its strides, assimilated people of all races, religion, castes, creed, and community and has rightly been labeled by many as the city of migrants and refugees. Indeed, no city other than kolkata reveals such a stunning unity among diversity. It is this mosaic of colorful people that literally makes Calcutta a vibrant 'city of joy'.
